You Ate What!?

I'm eating lunch and it's dinosaur nuggets and applesauce. Yesterday, it was a corndog and cheese curls. My diet definitely reflects my mealtime companions. Sometimes I'm grateful because I can buy Froot Loops without feeling silly, but at other times I regret my "dietary choices" (like after the very green eggs and ham or the blue velvet cake - Thanks, Suzie.) I know I'm not the only one. So satisfy my curiosity, please - what's the strangest thing you have eaten while caring for children as a mom, teacher, babysitter, etc.?

A long time ago the parent left "Not Dogs" for dinner - they were tofu hot dogs and they were terrible. That is what happens when you babysit for former hippies in rural upstate NY.

I treat the kids I babysit for a lot better. we made peppermint brownies a couple of weeks ago. They were yummy.

One time we were at an amusement park and I had a bottle of soda. I gave it to my son to have a drink. When I finally got it back, I took a drink and something hit my lip. It was a hotdog he had jammed in the bottle.Yes, it was as disgusting as it sounds.

Don't have a crazy story....just wanted to assure you that you weren't the only one having dino nuggets yesterday. We had box macaroni, too.

Want some today? I have a huge bag of those nuggets. As I'm sure you do, too.

I almost forgot.......food color is a wonderful invention. It makes your meal more interesting. You should as Shanon about the macaroni I made when we were roommates. ;)

I just had strawberry soaked eggo's yesterday..just a bite off my one son's tray. That was the first; it'll be the last eating from their trays. What was I thinking?
Anyway, thanks for visiting judah's blog and praying for us. We sure do need it and are so uplifted by the knowledge of others' prayers on our behalf.

Well, it appears that hotdogs (or "not"dogs as the case may be) are the biggest culprits, with food coloring a close second. Keep that in mind as you plan your child-friendly menus!
