Flashback
Laurie's comment on the last post reminded me of a picture I saw recently when going through photos for our church's grand opening. Here you go folks! Who can tell me something about this picture? (Suzy-Q, wait a while because I know you know when, where, who, and why I'm wearing that shirt!) If anyone in the photo wants me to remove it - no problem, just let me know.

That's my pastor, Jason Reyes?
Wow. He's got some hair there! That's gotta be, what, '97?
Woah... I just realized which Brad Laura was talking about... 8o
This is shocking. Truly shocking.
Travis - are you kidding??? 1997?? Kristie was already a mom of an infant by then.
I'll offer more insight later.
I forgot about the pink flamingoes. Travis, you are showing your age! This is from the early 90's, but I can't place where the picture was taken. Was it at Ossili Circle or West High or even campus?
Shelly - None of the above. Look close (pictures on the wall and a shelf behind Jason)
I definitely know where, who, when, why.....
Let's let Jason try first.
The suspense is killing me Suzanne. Tell me! Tell me!
Jason is probably too busy (or mature) for such silliness.
What a handsome drummer! Jason says this is 1992 in Brad's house.
And for the record, Travis is not implying that Jason is balding. His hair is just...hmmm....smaller now.
Jason is having a busy week, so I can't get him to respond personally, but I assure you he really enjoyed seeing the picture!
Very Good Jason!
Yes, circa 1992. I think it MAY be Summer 1993. At the "Lake" house on Lake Avenue where Jason lived with Brad, Jeff, Dave, David, Matt, Rick (anyone else?)
Kristie and Jason did a duet together and they were practicing. There was some band in the works at sometime but that involved Shontelle, too.
So Travis - how old were YOU in 1992? 9??
Kristie loved flamingos so she had lots of it. Yes, Laura, a flamingo shower curtain was one of them. I remember that my mom accidently broke one of her flamingos adorning the bathroom - or did I have her break it for me? HUMMM?
I had obnioxous apples all in the kitchen. Glad that phase is over - the phase in the kitchen and in the classroom
I don't have a scanner or I could come up with some pictures too....Kristie, please continue the flashback series. Please be kind. :)
Yes, if I remember correctly it was a Memorial Day Party at Brad's house and we were the entertainment - there wasn't any entertainment $ budgeted obviously!
Jason made us practice, practice, practice. I think it was an Out of the Grey song.
Thanks for playing! I'll post a flamingo pic later!
Suzanne,
Yep, I turned 10 in September of '92, so depending on the date of this photo, I would have been either 9 or 10.
And Laurie's right: if you click on the page I linked Jason's name to in my first comment, you'll see that he still has hair... just not "nineties hair." I meant "some hair" as in, "that's some bike you've got there, Fonzie!" ;)
Wow...1992.
Why wasn't I there?? I just don't remember why I didn't come and I remember being sad that I couldn't join in the fun. Oh well....that was 13 years ago.
Oh my goodness! I've seen enough pictures of "Young Brad" to guess that was him on the floor, but I wasn't expecting to see Jason! LOL!
And thanks, Suzanne, for reminding me again how young my husband is. ;P I was in high school at the time...
Kristie,
Thanks for the picture as it served to bring back a lot of great memories. Do you have a picture of "Sangster Gangster" playing the bass that day? Love to see that if you do.
Miss ya'll a lot down at Cornerstone (see I still have some South in me). Had a great time with Greg Reynolds and Bill Cahill last year in Uganda. Love to see all of you some time as you know you all have a place to stay in Maryland.
By the way, Travis, don't you have other things to be doing?
Jason Reyes
Jason speaks!!!
